Equine bodywork services (including massage, soft tissue mobilization, and similar complementary therapies) provided by Ashley Koebke (AK Equine Performance Bodywork LLC) are not veterinary medicine and are considered alternate (nonstandard) therapies under Texas law (Texas Administrative Code, Title 22, Part 24, Chapter 573, Rule §573.14).
These services are complementary and intended to support your horse’s overall well-being, relaxation, and comfort. They are not a substitute for professional veterinary diagnosis, treatment, care, medication, surgery, or any other veterinary medical services.
Ashley Koebke is not a licensed veterinarian and does not diagnose illnesses, injuries, diseases, lameness, or any medical conditions; prescribe medications; or provide medical treatment or prognosis.
Texas law requires that equine bodywork be performed under the general supervision of a licensed veterinarian who has established a valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR), examined the horse, and determined that the therapy is unlikely to cause harm. A signed veterinary referral/authorization and owner acknowledgment form is required before any session and will be kept on file.
It is the horse owner’s responsibility to consult with their veterinarian regarding the horse’s health, obtain any necessary veterinary clearance or referral prior to bodywork, and seek immediate veterinary attention for any signs of illness, injury, pain, or changes in condition.
No guarantees are made regarding results, as individual responses to bodywork vary.
By booking or receiving services, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this disclaimer, accept these limitations, and agree that Ashley Koebke (AK Equine Performance Bodywork LLC) shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damages arising from the services provided.
